Lughnasadh, aka Lammas is a time in celebrating the harvest. This is when the "Chase of Lugh" begins. Lugh, is the Celtic sun god that rains upon the crops. He lives within the feilds. This is the time of the first harvest. It is a time in reflecting of the earth, its beauty and life it provides us with, and the food we eat and the air we breath. All of it bounty. Demeter and Ceres, the goddesses of the grain are also honored in this day. Games are usually played to celebrate strength and good health.

Its herbs consist of (Grains, Sunflowers, Blackberries, Grapes, and Heather)

Its colour is (Yellow, Green, Brown, and Orange)

Its food is (Rice, Breads, Cider, Jellies, Pies, Blackberry, Berries, and Meadowsweet)

Its incence is (Rose, Sandlewood, and Aloes)

Its ordiments are (Corn dollies, Shafts of grains, crafts made of weat)
